(Senior) Software Engineer – Remote Device Management / Device Key Management (*) in Essen or Berlin
Das sind deine Aufgaben
- As part of an agile development team, you will be responsible for the development and enhancement of Java applications in the area of device management and measured value administration for our remotely readable metering
- You will be responsible for developing technical concepts for future-oriented software solutions, taking into account industry standards and specifications.
- You implement new and optimize existing applications, considering maintainability, scalability and performance, and integrate them into our IT landscape together with the responsible agile teams
- You support the expansion of test automation and improvement of our CI/CD infrastructure
- You support the deployment process as well as the operation of our systems
- You support the product owner in advising our specialist departments on feasibility from a technical and economic point of view
Das bringst du mit
- You have successfully completed your university studies in the field of computer science or a related field of study. Alternatively, you qualify yourself through relevant professional experience in combination with advanced training measures
- You have many years of experience in the technical design and development of Java applications and the use of Spring Boot, relational databases (e.g. Oracle or PostgreSQL), REST and JWT
- Experience with Keycloak, Kubernetes, Kafka, Python, and cloud services (ideally Azure) is a plus
- You have a fundamental understanding of IoT and can categorize the topics of metering data streaming, encryption, interfacing to downstream systems, and open metering system (OMS)
- You know how to design highly available and scalable systems to manage millions of pieces of data
- You enjoy adapting systems to meet ever-growing requirements
- You bring practical experience in agile working methods (e.g. Scrum or Kanban) ideally also across teams and scaled environments
- Teamwork, strong communication skills and a goal-oriented approach are a matter of course for you
- Very good written and spoken German and English skills round off your profile
